Lolling
In Partnership with Dublin Theatre Festival
The multi award-winning ANU returns to Dublin Theatre Festival with Lolling, a brand-new, hard-hitting, witty and reflective immersive theatre piece.
Inspired by Episode 5 of Ulysses (Lotus Eaters), Lolling reinstates part of Joyce’s seminal book back into modern-day Dublin - scaling present-day sites and locations, and observing the city's current relationship with masculine consumptive and compulsive behaviours.
Presented unusually early in the day, Lolling excavates the past in order to shed light on the present, allowing audiences to immerse themselves in Joyce’s Dublin through a contemporary lens.
